A Very Busy Life Lately

Whew…what a few weeks it’s been y’all! To say we’ve been busy would an understatement. We’ve been fundraising like maniacs, which has occupied ALL of our free time. Here’s a little of our crazy, busy life lately…

Charley bug got her stitches out and has been back at 110% ever since.

YoGo is never a bad idea after working on yard sale stuff all day.

I’ve been having to catch up on all my favorite shows when I can. Like while I’m cooking dinner.

I took the plunge and took chopped my hair off. Goodbye, 10 inches!

So far, I’m loving the new cut. It’s so much lighter and cooler. 

We’ve gotten locked out of Cory’s truck WAY too many times to count because his key only starts his truck and the ring on his clicker broke. This night, it was in his pants from work…that were laying on our bed.

We had our very successful Zumba fundraiser.

We celebrated Donnie and Dorian’s big day!

And I tried to wrangle this crazy girl for a little while.

And she kept herself occupied by taking pictures of this hunk.

My forever wedding date.

I snuggled with this cutie some.

Another day working on yard sale stuff and another cold treat to cool us off.

Thank goodness for these strong backs!

I had to work in Greenville a couple days during the last two weeks so our office got us a rental car which happened to be a 2015 Tahoe. Oh my goodness, talk about luxury!

Princess Kaylen celebrated her 3rd birthday!

We threw one heck of a yard sale and ended up raising $3700 for Rwanda!

We were exhausted after weeks of fundraising.

And our house looked like this. Help!

Charley was dying for some attention after being “neglected” for the duration of the yard sale preparations.

See? Crazy dog!

I had to work last Monday and my feet were desperate so I treated myself to a pedicure on my lunch break.

I had to pull myself out of bed and away from these puppy eyes.

It was storming outside.

We finally had a free evening and headed to Highlands to The Ugly Dog Pub with Allen and Tammie.

This past weekend, we had a whole weekend fundraiser-free so we spent some serious time trying to finish up things around the house. Cory leaves in three weeks and it feels so much better to have the house in some sort of order.

They were not thrilled about being blocked out of the hallway.

Getting ready to leave the country for a month is hard work but we we have to make sure our babies are safe while we’re gone. Our wireless fence system has been on the fritz so when an underground fence system showed up at the yard sale, I snagged it. We got about half of it buried before it started pouring on us. Hopefully, we can finish it this week!

And this is how we all feel! We are tired, exhausted, and in need of a vacation but Rwanda will be worth every second of these crazy past few weeks!
