Five on Friday
Happy Friday, y’all! It’s been a week full of emotions with John and Jordan shipping out on Monday and my car breaking down on Tuesday but my mother-in-law was here all week and spoiled me with a mani/pedi and home cooked meals. Some people dread having their mother-in-law come into town but I hit the lotto in that department.
ONE | Monday we had to say goodbye to John and Jordan for the next 10 weeks as they headed off to basic training. As promised, I was a hot mess but we’ve heard from both of them and they made it to their post. Jordan called last night to say that he was done processing in and would be starting basic this morning. Say a little prayer his first day goes well! 
These two fellas also shipped out on Monday. The guy in the Nike shirt has become Jordan’s buddy and the guy in the black hoodie was flying to Missouri. Keep these guys in your prayers too, won’t you?
TWO | Tuesday evening, Darla {Cory’s mom} treated me to a mani/pedi and it was heavenly! I haven’t had my toes done since early summer and they were rough. I wanted a good neutral fall color on my nails so I went with A-taupe the Space Needle by OPI. I was little worried after the first coat because it looked a little puke greenish but once she got a second coat on, it turned out to be a great color.
THREE | After months of searching, I finally found a color for our bedroom {I think}. Thanks to Katie at Katie Elizabeth for introducing me to Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore which apparently has been dubbed as the Pinterest color of the year.
Cory and I picked up a sample last Monday while we were in Anderson and my sweet, sweet husband had the room primed before I got home from work yesterday. As soon as I walked in the house, I could smell the paint and the first thing that crossed my mind was “before pictures“.
Yeah, he didn’t get any. #bloggerfail
But the Barney purple is GONE!
FOUR | I’m officially getting old, losing my eye sight and need glasses. I have extremely sensitive eyes so contacts are out and need your help deciding on a pair of Warby Parker lenses. Which one do you like best?

I think all the glasses look fab – have you ever worn glasses before? when i first got glasses, i got the ‘cutest’ ones and i rarely wear them because they aren’t functional. practice wearing each pair for an hour or more, doing things like reading, on the computer, driving – whatever you are going to be doing when wearing the glasses, look around a bunch because my glasses blocked some of my view (hard to explain, so annoying!). that being said if they all feel the same, #4 is super cute!

It’s funny how the other day he talked about how much you devote to this blog and plan out pictures and such and now your wondering about before pictures!
