Weekend Recap

Weekending

Goodness, y’all! This past week has been absolutely crazy. Hence the silence on my end. I had full intentions of getting all my pictures off my camera and writing a full weekend recap Sunday night after church when a migraine hit me like a ton of bricks. I’m talking all the lights in the house off and hovering the toilet kind of migraine. I haven’t had one come on that fast in a long time and normally I can curb them before they get to that point but it went 0 to 60 in a matter of minutes.

On Friday night, I picked up Gracie, we made brownies and then headed to Daniel and Tiffany’s for dinner. The original plan was for us to bring them dinner {since they just had Miss Selah} but Tiffany texted me on Friday and said Daniel felt like frying some chicken wings. I wasn’t going to argue!

When did she grow up? She looked like a teenager, standing there with her coffee, carrying on a conversation with me.

Could she be any more perfect?

When we got home, I crashed on the couch while Gracie and Cory stayed up late watching Ninja Turtles. She’s a girl after his own heart!

We woke up early Saturday morning to get ready for my niece’s 6th birthday party at Monkey Joe’s.

I have to be honest, I wasn’t looking forward to Taylor’s party.  Normally, places like this are a waste of money because they’re not big enough with screaming kids everywhere. Now, there were a lot of screaming kids but if they would have let adults play on all the bounce houses, I totally would have.

Obviously, Taylor had a blast and that’s all that really matters.

Please, look at her face. She’s like “Nope. I’ll just hang over here!” I don’t blame her one bit!

We headed home, let the dogs out and then headed right back out to have dinner with Cory’s brother for his birthday. I felt like we spent the majority of the last week in the car but we killed some serious chicken wings Saturday night.

Sunday was a complete blur trying to get not only myself but Gracie ready for church and the relaunch of our womens ministry for 2015. We had a great turn out and I love having such wonderful women in my life to serve the Lord with.

And since Monday is technically still my weekend…

I got to spend most of it with this cutie.

We snuggled and watched Tinkerbell and Doc Mcstuffins.

And she cheesed it up big time for the camera.

After lunch with Jessica and K, I spent the rest of my day running boring errands like getting my oil changed, picking up paper work to get Charlie spayed and taking Stein to the groomers.

Poor fella hates the groomer especially when he has to go without Hampy but I think he was happy to have a break from Crazy Charlie.

I finished my weekend off with a run and hot bath before crashing into bed last night. After a hectic last week, I need a few days to recover!

What did you do this weekend? Was it packed full or full of some rest and relaxation?

Oh man… hope that migraine has gone away completely. I know when I get them, the ‘yucky’ lingers…

You were just surrounded by cuteness overload all weekend!!!

Is it bad that all I could think about with that big chair in that birthday party room is, “How many germs could possibly be on that thing?!!?!?!”… I have issues :)

Sorry about your migraine! :( #theworst. Def a busy weekend! I love doing stuff, but sometimes I hate the consequences: no down time. I hope you find some rest this week!

Wow, you sure were busy! I hope you’re feeling better now, migraines are no fun.

By the way, about the pups… I know taking them on walks together can really help. I did ask my co-worker to ask her brother yesterday and now I’m sick and I’ll probably be at home the rest of this week but when I get back and get an answer I’ll let you know if he has any other advice!
