Weekend Recap

Weekending

Happy Monday, y’all. We had another busy but very productive weekend. Unfortunately, I’m at work today because students moved back to Clemson on Saturday and classes start on Wednesday. I’m sure our office will be crazy from now until I leave for Rwanda. Yay!

Speaking of craziness, we received all these transcripts in the mail on Friday and it took us all afternoon to open them and sort through them which means they’ve got to be entered today. Not the best way to start off my week, for sure!

Transcripts

Since work was crazy and I took my first dose of my typhoid vaccine {it’s a pill and made Cory really sick last year. So far, no signs of symptoms for me} on Friday evening, we stayed in and grilled some steaks. Hampton had his usual play session in floor {which I can never capture so I was so glad he was still long enough to snap this blurry picture} and I was asleep on the couch by 10:00pm. Real exciting, huh?

We got up early on Saturday morning and headed to Greenville looking for a few things we needed for Rwanda. While there, we popped into a jewelry store and guess what???

New Ring

I FOUND A NEW RING!!! We really weren’t going to look for a new ring but when I found one I really liked {even though it is nothing like the ones I’ve been looking at all summer} I told Cory I was tired of looking and I walked out with two new rings on my finger :)

We got home just in time to throw on our pink and head to Daniel and Tiffany’s gender reveal party. As you can tell, pink was the general consensus.

And we were right! Daniel and Tiffany are expecting a sweet little girl and Selah Saige will be here in January. We can’t wait to spoil to her!

When we got home Saturday night and unloaded the car, Cory made a comment about how big my new suitcase was. Too bad I exceed the weight limit because we could have saved ourselves a plane ticket! #missionaryproblems

Luggage

Is it time to snuggle yet? They know when Dad falls asleep on the couch, they get to sleep with Mama!

County schools started back today so we had the children come up on stage and prayed over them at church yesterday. It was so sweet seeing them hold hands and lay hands on each other that I had to snap a picture. It amazes me at the number of young people we have in our church and until you see them all in one spot, it’s easy to forget how many of these little souls will be starting a new journey this week.

Also, I adore back to school pictures and can’t wait to see them come across my news feed today! It will definitely make a Monday in the office much more sweeter.

For the first time in months, I spent the rest of my Sunday afternoon laid up on the couch. I took a nice long nap and then ran to town because someone at church {thanks, Wesley!}  told me about a sale on Chacos. I was able to get Cory and myself both a pair for $100 and if you know just a little about Chacos, you know how good of a deal that is! I think after this weekend, we are officially ready for Rwanda!

So what did y’all do this weekend?
