Weekending: Bridal Shower & Father’s Day

Woah…what a weekend! It was a busy one but packed with so much goodness. This chick is tired but I’m running off a high from the weekend. Take a peek?

Friday night crafting

This was sometime around midnight {or later} on Friday night and these two were still helping me finish everything for the shower on Saturday. Amber and Cory are seriously the best and I couldn’t have done it without either of them.

PS. Check the banner hanging from the blinds. Crafts were everywhere.

PPS. I learned that Cory is a chalkboard genius. And now I can’t wait for him to do all the chalkboard projects I’ve been dying to do. He will probably regret letting me in on his secret very soon.

Car loaded

Saturday morning, Cory got up extremely early {after not getting to bed until 2:30 am working on shower stuff) to help me load my car up. It was so full, I couldn’t close the hatch so Cory had to bungee cord it shut. With a chai latte in hand, I headed to Greenville for Kristen’s bridal shower.

Welcome Table

The sign-in table {and the chalkboard sign Cory did}. I’m hoping to get my full shower recap up soon but we’ve got another crazy week ahead!

Lake

Sunday, Cory and I loaded the Jeep up and headed to Lake Jocassee to celebrate Father’s Day. Dad wanted to get a ride in {he is a cyclist and he has a 300-mile bike ride next weekend. This is the crazy week we have coming up because we go with him to do support but I digress. I’ll share more about that later.} so we headed up to meet Mom and Gracie with Dad and Jordan coming later for dinner.

Amazed at God’s beautiful creation. We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful area.

Me and Gracie

We did a little swimming, played some beach lake volleyball {and G even had an audience} and ate a whole lot of good food!

Volleyball

I definitely don’t think they were watching her athleticism. Poor child has no coordination but she is super cute. So there’s that.

Too bad I didn’t even get a picture of my dad being that it was Father’s Day and all. Daughter of the Year Award, right there. But I was so thankful to get to spend a little time with him and let him know how thankful I am to have him in my life. He is such a huge influence to me and I would absolutely be lost without him.

The day ended with a little Jeep riding as the sun was setting, the fresh air beating against my skin {Cory’s Jeep has no doors or windows}, some good music blaring and my hands dancing in the wind.

Perfection.
