Weekend Recap

Weekending: Graduation Day.

Happy Monday, y’all! How can the weekend already be over??? They need to slow down–” just a little bit busy” seems to be the trend around the Sloan household nowadays. This past weekend was spent celebrating my brothers’ graduating from high school.

I feel like I don’t mention my family, especially my siblings, much on this blog. Just like everybody else, we have our good moments and our bad. We may not always get along but at the end of the day, we’re still family and I’m thankful for each one of them. It’s been a long four years but John and Jordan made it! And we are so very proud of them!

We started the day off with a pre-graduation lunch, gifts, and of course, cotton candy!

My Nana makes all the grandkids a quilt for special occasions. I got one for graduation and my wedding and now John and Jordan both have one. I loved how she matched them to their interests. Jordan’s is music-themed and John’s is camo.

My Mom is a little obsessed with photobombing right now but she had us all cracking up because the boys had no idea she was back there.

Gracie and my niece Taylor were both so sweet and cute on Saturday. Makes me heart happy to see them so close.

Typical Jordan face. Whistling to the music.

In case you’re wondering, photographing twins at a graduation ceremony is really hard.

Making sure that diploma’s in there! Don’t worry, they both were.

Both of my brothers are enlisting in the National Guard {very proud of their decision to join} and their recruiter was there to support them. How sweet is that?

Well, Taylor was ready, pose and all. Sassiest five year old I know.

Remember when I said it’s been a long four years? Well I told my parents to show me how excited they were and this is what I got. You can’t fake this excitement, y’all.

Since it was hot after graduation, we ended the day with ice cream and it was the perfect ending to one of the best days we’ve had as a family in a long time!

Today I’m linking up with Biana at B Loved Boston.
